I am a homeschool mom turned author as well as the Director of my own micro school for 1st and 2nd graders. 

I'm a native Texan and a Georgia transplant; I currently live outside of Atlanta with my husband and our two kids.

Believe it or not, Tater is not just a made up character! 

I really did find a little rock that looks exactly like a potato. 

It really did have natural markings that made a little face. 

My class really did name it Tater and we really did make it our class pet.
