Here at the Learning Collective, our number one mission is to help students that have trouble learning in a "traditional" classroom setting grow and thrive.
We provide accommodating spaces and adapted methods for individualized learning, specifically designed for Neurodivergent students.
Our two teachers have over 30 years of combined experience in the field of Early Childhood Education, Childcare and working with Neurodivergent children.
In addition, both instructors are parents of students with ADHD and ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) so they have a special understanding and appreciation for the way the minds of these incredible children work!
As the only facility of it’s kind, we are honored to be able to provide services for this demographic of students and serve the local homeschool community in this much needed and special way.

Thursdays | 1:00 PM–4:00 PM
$25 per class paid monthly ($100 a month)
Classes begin the first week of August.
Have you ever wanted to learn how to play Dungeons & Dragons but had no idea where to start?
This class is designed specifically for beginners and anyone who wants to learn the game in a fun, welcoming, and supportive environment.
Students will be guided step-by-step by an experienced Dungeon Master, learning everything from the ground up. We'll break down the rules, explain what everything means, walk through character creation, learn how to use the different dice, and teach the mechanics of the game at a pace that allows everyone to feel confident.
Once students understand the game and have created their own unique characters, they'll begin playing their first campaign together. The Dungeon Master continues to guide the group throughout the adventure, making sure no one feels rushed, overwhelmed, or embarrassed.
The goal isn't just to play Dungeons & Dragons—it's to truly understand the game so students leave confident enough to join other campaigns or even start one of their own.
Throughout the class, students naturally build:
- Creativity and imagination
- Teamwork and communication
- Problem-solving skills
- Critical thinking
- Confidence
- Storytelling skills
- Social connections
Everything needed to participate is included, including:
- A complete set of dice
- A dice bag
- Character sheets
- Instruction from an experienced Dungeon Master
This will be the Dungeon Master's third complete beginner course, and previous students have gone on to start their own campaigns and continue playing with friends.
No experience is necessary—just bring your imagination.
Registration is now open, and classes begin the first week of August.

Students will learn how to repurpose recycled and everyday materials into artwork, gifts, home décor, functional items, and more while exploring a variety of creative techniques and materials.
Projects may include:
-
Turning old T-shirts into tote bags

Throughout the session, students will also work together to create items for an end-of-session sale, with all proceeds benefiting the Warehouse of Hope Food Pantry. This gives students the opportunity to use their creativity to make a positive impact in their community while learning about service and giving back.
More than an art class, Upcycling & Creative Making encourages:

Critical thinking
-
Resourcefulness

Frequently Asked Questions:
Where are you located?
For safety reasons, we do not give out the physical address to the classroom until a family has registered and paid.
Instead, we use New Genesis Church as a reference point:
6985 Hiram Douglasville Hwy
Douglasville, GA 30134
... from there, add about a mile.
Can I come sit in on a class with my child?
Because safety is our top priority, the only adults allowed in the classroom with the children once class starts are those that have a current background check on file with the Paulding County Sheriff's Department.
Can I enroll at any time?
Yep! As long as the class is not full, you can enroll at any time.
Can I come take a tour?
We have a virtual tour video posted right above the FAQ section!
Are your classes religious or secular?
We do not have any biblical studies and the students are not taught any religious material, however the instructors are believers and we do not prohibit the kids from expressing their religion/faith openly.
Additionally, we do not include "The Big Bang Theory" or Evolution in any of our lessons.
Do you provide lunch?
Lunch is not provided; students are required to bring their own.
We have a freezer, refrigerator and microwave all available for their use.
While lunch is not regularly provided, there are several times throughout the year that we will throw pizza parties for the kids for various events or occassions and we will cover the cost of that so parents will not have to send a lunch on those days.
Parents are told ahead of time when those events will take place.
Can I have more info on the teachers?
All instructors are college graduates, veteran homeschool moms and combined have over 40 years worth of experience in the education and child care industry.
In addition, they have current background checks on file with the Paulding County Sheriffs Department so you can rest assured that your children will be with both experienced and vetted instructors!
